GPKL develops and updates a Mine Closure Plan from the earliest stages of project development. Our closure plan addresses progressive rehabilitation, post-closure land use, community transition programs, and financial provisions in a dedicated closure fund.

Land Restoration
Progressive rehabilitation begins during mining operations. We restore disturbed land to agreed post-mining land uses, in consultation with local communities, local government, and NEMA, with funding secured through our closure liability provision.
